The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department’s Mobile Incident Management Unit arrived early Saturday in South Florida to enable with rescue endeavours at the Surfside condominium constructing that collapsed Thursday.
The unit is made up of a semi and a pickup truck hauling a generator.
It arrived in the Miami place about 1:30 a.m. Saturday and was established up and totally operational significantly less than three several hours later on, JFRD stated.
“My ideas and prayers are with the victims, survivors, their good friends and families, and our guys and women of all ages from @thejfrd Jax Fire/Rescue who are now section of the rescue endeavours,” Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry tweeted Saturday morning.

Jacksonville City Councilman Rory Diamond tweeted: “Just off the phone with Surfside Town Manager Andy Hyatt. He explained their neighborhood was just so grateful for @lennycurry sending a JFRD Emergency Administration Mobile Unit to assist with the rescue.”
